My name is Mark Asplin and I am a 28 year old filmmaker residing in Cambridge, United Kingdom.
Ever since my parents purchased their first Hi8 Sony Camcorder I have been into making films and videos.
In late 2010 I decided to make my hobby more professional and set up Absolution Films.
Although in 2 short years I have had the privilege to work on some great corporate projects with some great clients, I have never been able to concentrate fully on my own creative and personal development as a filmmaker.
This year (2013) I am hoping to change that with this project “The 50 Film Project” where I will produce 50 films in 2013 (1 a week), I want to cover a broad range of filmmaking areas including Narrative, Documentary, Artistic and Timelapse.
I have basic/budget equipment that I hope will show other filmmakers at my level what can be achieved even on a small budget.
